STORYLINE
Traveling to deep, remote jungles like the Amazon sure does require extra caution. One big worry? Accidentally upsetting the local tribes, especially if they practice cannibalism. This is exactly what "Cannibal Holocaust," a movie from 1980, focuses on.
The story begins with an American documentary film crew vanishing in the Amazon rainforest. This triggers a rescue mission by the other crew members. Realizing they're out of their depth in the jungle, they seek help from an expert – an anthropologist named Harold Monroe (Robert Kerman).
Monroe leads the rescue team, while the rest of the crew records their journey. Unfortunately, their actions are seen as intrusive by the native tribes. This puts Harold and his team at the mercy of the indigenous people, who are known to be cannibals. Can Harold convince the tribe to spare them?
