Sweetheart (2019)

"Sweetheart" is a survival horror film directed by J.D. Dillard and released in 2019 by Universal Pictures. The movie stars Kiersey Clemons in a powerful lead role, portraying a young woman's fight for survival on a deserted island.

The story follows Jennifer Remming (Kiersey Clemons) and her friend, who go on a sailing trip during their holiday. Their adventure turns upside down when a storm capsizes their boat. Jennifer miraculously survives, but tragically, her friend does not. They both end up on a remote and uninhabited island, where Jennifer gives her friend a proper burial.

As she starts to explore the island, Jennifer uncovers signs of a mysterious creature lurking around. She soon realizes she's being hunted by a humanoid sea monster with a hunger for flesh and blood. Faced with this terrifying threat, Jennifer must use her intelligence and whatever resources she can find on the island to outwit the monster and find a way to escape alive.
