Blue Lagoon: The Awakening

"Blue Lagoon: The Awakening" is a heartwarming romantic drama, directed by Mikael Salomon and Jake Newsome. This 2012 TV film draws inspiration from the classic 1908 novel "The Blue Lagoon" and stars Indiana Evans and Brenton Thwaites.

The film centers around Emma (Indiana Evans) and Dean (Brenton Thwaites), two high schoolers on a trip to Trinidad. They're there to help build a school for disadvantaged children, but an awful incident happened on their second night. That incident leads to Emma and Dean falling overboard and finding themselves alone on a deserted island.

Stranded and with no one else to rely on, they have to work together to survive. They learn how to make fire, catch fish, and find food. What starts as a friendship between them slowly blossoms into a sweet romance.

As they wait for rescue, unsure of when it might come, they remain hopeful and believe that as long as they are together, they can overcome anything.
