The sequel to Train to Busan has scored Korean Box Office records since its premiere. In addition, Peninsula has earned much acclaim, including the prestigious Best Technical Award at the 26th Chunsa Film Arts Awards in 2021.

The storyline unfolds as Navy Captain Jung Seok (Gang Dong Won) and some of his family members seek refuge in Seoul harbor during a zombie attack. Tragically, while boarding a ship, they face a zombie attack, leaving only Jung Seok and his brother-in-law, Chul Min, as survivors.

After arriving in Hong Kong, they attempt to survive under their new 'employers'. However, the Korean community's life in Hong Kong is filled with oppression, and they are forced to obey their 'employer' in order to survive.

Four years later, Jung Seok, Chul Min, and the other residents receive a mission from their employer: return to Seoul and secure US$20 million from a large truck. This begins a new adventure for Jung Seok and Chul Min, bringing them together with humans and zombies once again.
