In the Shadow of the Moon

This American sci-fi movie, directed by Jim Mickle and released in 2019, features Boyd Holbrook, Cleopatra Coleman, and Michael C. Hall. It focuses on a Philadelphia cop who is determined to catch a puzzling serial killer with crimes that are hard to understand.

In 1988, a series of murders shook Philadelphia, putting the city on edge and pushing the authorities to work harder to find the guilty person. Among the police, Thomas 'Lockie' Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook) and his partner Winston Maddox (Bokeem Woodbine) are given the task of solving the case.

They're not alone in this mission as Detective Holt (Michael C. Hall) also joins them. Together, they make progress and find the suspect. In a dramatic turn, the suspect dies after being hit by a train.

Thinking the case is solved, they close it. But then, similar murders start happening again, following the same pattern. It seems like a copycat killer is on the loose. The big question is, who could it be?
