STORYLINE
After many years in the movie industry, the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez has been cast as the lead in the upcoming thriller, "The Mother," scheduled for release in 2023. The movie script is written by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig, with Niki Caro directing.
The storyline revolves around a former military agent who joins forces with an FBI agent to save her kidnapped son. The story traces back years when a U.S. military agent (Jennifer Lopez) gets caught between two criminals: former SAS Captain Adrian Lovell (Joseph Fiennes) and arms dealer Héctor Álvarez (Gael García Bernal).
Adrian and the agent are involved in smuggling illegal weapons from the hands of notorious arms dealer Héctor. Over time, the agent becomes romantically involved with one of them, leading to her pregnancy.
Initially, all seems well until the agent discovers her boyfriend's involvement in human trafficking. Intending to prevent it, the agent is attacked while heavily pregnant. Fortunately, the child was born safely, but the agent's son was later kidnapped, driving the agent to desperately search for his whereabouts.
