STORYLINE
The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die is a British historical film adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's The Saxon Stories. Directed by Edward Bazalgette, the movie follows the journey of Uhtred of Bebbanburg and his companions as they journey through a fractured kingdom, aiming to bring England together.
The story heats up after the death of King Edward (Timothy Innes). His eldest son, Aethelstan (Harry Gilby), strives to keep the country united, a move that displeases King Edward's ally, Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon). Uhtred's attempt to thwart Aethelstan's plans backfires, leading to a dramatic chase by Aethelstan's forces.
Although he managed to escape, Uhtred lost his castle to Aethelstan. At the same time, Viking King Aflan (Pekka Strang) pursued the same goal as Uhtred, but faced chaos and betrayal.
In the face of adversity, Uhtred decides to make peace with Aethelstan and, together, confront Anlaf. They agree to join forces and work towards the common goal of uniting Britain once and for all.
