Primbon

While mountain climbing with her best friend, Janu, Rana got lost in a heavy rainstorm. Janu manages to make it back, but Rana does not.

Rana is missing for a week and eventually is presumed dead. Then, unexpectedly, she returns home during a memorial service her family is holding for her.

Rana's mother, father, and sister are overjoyed to discover she's still alive and warmly welcome her back. However, Rana's extended family reacts differently. Believing in primbon, traditional Javanese beliefs, they find Rana's return unusual and strange.
