Komada - A Whisky Family

Despite its simple theme of food and family heritage, the anime film features popular voice actors such as Kensho Ono, Saori Hayami, Kikuo Inoue, Yuuichi Nakamura, and Kenyuu Horiuchi. The movie tells the story of one woman's struggle to preserve her family's traditions.

Rui has just took over her family's small whisky distillery, Komada. For three generations, her ancestors have managed the distillery, but they ended production of their famous whisky a few years ago due to some problems.

To revive the business, Rui encounters many challenges, one of which is the loss of his family's whisky recipe. Not only that, she also struggles to get financial support to restart production. On top of that, a large company is trying to buy the distillery. Rui's only hope is to reunite with his family members to protect their family heritage.
