Iron Man

Back in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) launched its first movie, "Iron Man." This film introduces us to Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.), a rich industrialist who builds a high-tech suit and becomes the superhero Iron Man.

Tony's creation catches the eye of terrorists in Afghanistan, who kidnap him and demand he build them a weapon. With no other choice, Tony creates a sophisticated device for them.

After his escape, Tony realizes the potential danger his creation poses to humanity. To make things right, he sets out to develop a more advanced version of the device.

The film was not only a hit for Robert Downey Jr.'s outstanding performance as Tony Stark but also for its impressive box office haul of over $550 million. "Iron Man" kicked off the first phase of the MCU. Its huge success led to two sequels and Iron Man's appearances in other MCU films. All this was made possible by director Jon Favreau!
