Iron Man 2

Following the massive success of "Iron Man," director Jon Favreau brought fans its sequel, "Iron Man 2," in 2010. This blockbuster, which raked in $623.9 million worldwide, continues the journey of Tony Stark, the industrialist turned superhero, as he faces new adversaries.

In this installment, Tony Stark finds himself up against Ivan Vanko (played by Mickey Rourke), a Russian physicist and ex-convict. Ivan discovers a vulnerability in Tony's armor and uses this knowledge to create arc reactor-powered electric whips. His goal is to seek revenge against Tony, whom he blames for his father's death.

Tony has to push himself to the limit to prepare for the showdown with Ivan Vanko. He innovates by replacing the palladium core in his Iron Man suit with a new element, which upgrade his suit's reactor.

The confrontation between Tony and Ivan Vanko is intense, but Tony emerges victorious. His triumph catches the eye of S.H.I.E.L.D., leading them to recruit him as a consultant.
