I Am Legend

"I Am Legend" is one of the most successful zombie-themed movies worldwide. Adapted from Richard Matheson's novel by director Francis Lawrence, the movie follows Robert Neville (Will Smith), a virologist working for the US Army.

In 2009, a scientist believes that they have found a cure for cancer. However, instead of being cured, the patients who receives the injection of the drug are turned into cannibal vampires mutants called darkseekers who are highly sensitive to sunlight.

Three years later, in 2012, Manhattan becomes a dead city. As a survivor, Robert moves during the day when the dark seekers can't get out. At night, he hides in his laboratory home with his dog. He tries to find a cure, before he dies and turns into one of those creatures.
