STORYLINE

This mystery drama film is full of suspense, sadness, and frustration. The story follows four siblings – Chris, Cathy, Carrie, and Cory – whose lives turn upside down after their father's death. Burdened by huge debts, they are forced to live with their grandmother in an attic in Virginia.

In the attic, the children are hidden away for years. They grow up without sunlight or proper food, which causes Carrie and Cory to become stunted. Their grandmother is cruel, often abusing and neglecting them, sometimes leaving them without food for days.

Meanwhile, their mother, Corinne, loses sight of her duties as a parent. She gets absorbed in a socialite lifestyle, marrying a wealthy lawyer and keeping her children a secret.

As Corinne enjoys her new life, her children face a harsh reality in the attic. They endure not only their grandmother's harsh treatment but also the betrayal of their mother. What will become of these four siblings? Can they escape the attic and find a better life?
