Decision to Leave

"Decision to Leave" has been selected as South Korea's representative for the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards. The movie has won seven awards at the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards and won three wins out of seven nominations at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.

The storyline is about a detective named Hae Joon (Park Hae-il), who gets entangled in a murder investigation and unexpectedly falls in love with the victim's wife. Hae Joon is portrayed as a passionate and dedicated detective.

Assigned to investigate the suspicious death of a man found at the bottom of a mountain, Hae Joon discovers many strange things behind the case, including the involvement of the victim's wife, Seo Rae (Tang Wei).

To avoid suspicion, Seo Rae agrees to help with the investigation, which leads to frequent interactions between her and Hae Joon. Without her knowledge, Hae Joon begins to develop romantic feelings towards her. However, Sae Ron's behaviour indicates that there is a secret that she is hiding from the police.
