Dear Jo: Almost is Never Enough

Joshua (Jody Pranata) and Maura (Salshabilla Adriani) are a long-married couple living in Baku, Azerbaijan. Despite being together for many years, they have yet to be blessed with a child. To solve this, they decide to explore surrogacy as an option.

They prefer a surrogate mother they already know rather than a stranger, and Joshua and Maura choose Ella (Anggika Bolsterli), a close friend of Maura's who also lives in Baku. Ella, who is a single parent, agrees due to financial pressures and her strong bond with Maura.

Tragically, while Ella is pregnant with their child, Maura suffers a fatal accident. This leaves Ella feeling devastated, burdened by her pregnancy and the loss of her friend. Meanwhile, Joshua becomes unstable from alcohol, grappling with the loss of his wife.

Trying to make things right, Ella tries to help Joshua cope with the loss of his wife. Can Ella and Joshua get through this difficult time together?
