Dealova (2024)

This movie might ring a bell because it's a spin-off of the very famous 2005 film "Dealova." Even though it follows a similar theme, this movie brings a novel angle with a modern setting and new characters. Young and talented actors like Givina Lukita, Pradikta Wicaksono, and Harris Illano Vriza bring these characters to life.

The story centers on a high school student named Libby (Givina Lukita) who dreams big on winning an inter-school basketball competition. To improve her game, she seeks help from Tama (Harris Illano Vriza), a talented but difficult former basketball player known for his bad temper.

Libby's mother also doesn't want her playing basketball. So, she cleverly disguises her basketball passion by pretending to be a cheerleader. To keep her dream alive, she teams up with her best friend, Abi (Pradikta Wicaksono). They even fake a romantic relationship as part of their plan.

As Libby battles for her dreams, she finds herself in a complicated love triangle. Abi, who has genuine feelings for her, must compete with Tama, who also begins to have feelings for Libby. The movie takes us through this maze of young love and ambition, keeping us guessing who Libby will choose in the end.
