Cast Away

Chuck Noland, played by Tom Hanks, is a hardworking FedEx systems analyst executive. His job is to make sure that FedEx's warehouses run smoothly and that all deliveries are made safely and on time. His dedication to work even gets in the way of his wedding plans with his fiancée, Kelly.

One day, during a work trip, his plane crashes in the Pacific Ocean, leaving him all alone on a deserted island. Stranded, he uses all his skills and determination to survive and figure out a way to escape the island. Will Chuck manage to survive and get back to Kelly?

Tom Hanks shines in this film, not only as the lead actor but also as a producer. The movie was a massive hit, raking in $429 million at the box office against a production budget of around $90 million.
