STORYLINE
Released in 2021, "Black Widow" unfolds following the dramatic split of the Avengers depicted in "Captain America: Civil War" (2016). The film, starring the talented Scarlett Johansson, dives into the backstory of Natasha Romanoff as a Russian spy.
Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) is an expertly trained spy and a formidable assassin for her adversaries. Her intense training took place in the Red Room. However, after completing her training, Romanoff chose to defect to the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.
In 2016, Romanoff receives a mission from her Red Room 'sister', Belova (Florence Pugh). Belova seeks Romanoff's help in liberating women who are being manipulated through the use of a toxic gas in the Red Room. Accepting this challenge, Romanoff leaps into action, simultaneously uncovering and confronting secrets from her own past.
