All the Bright Places

Director Brett Haley's movie, "All the Bright Places", is adapted from Niven's 2014 novel. The story is about the encounter between two young people that changes both their lives for the better, emotionally and physically.

Violet Markey (Elle Fanning) and Theodore Finch (Justice Smith) are students at the same school, each grappling with complex issues. Violet is dealing with the trauma of her brother's death, while Theo faces the consequences of his past actions.

One day, they cross paths through a school assignment. As time goes by, Violet and Theo grow closer and start dating. Even though they face many challenges, the couple decides to continue their journey together. Their presence in each other's lives ultimately complements, heals, and brings positive change.
