Syuri studied English Literature, which cultivated her love for stories across various genres, as she became accustomed to reading a wide range of materials to learn. Consequently, when reviewing films, she delves deeper into their underlying themes and meanings.
Syuri has been writing since 2009, beginning with novel reviews and everyday stories on her personal blog, as well as poetry on social media. Now, she has established a career as a content writer and editor at Bacaterus, while also pursuing her aspirations of becoming a novelist.

Syuri's fondness for reading started in her childhood with comic books. It was only after high school that she fell in love with novels. During her college years, Syuri studied various books and films for analysis in her classes, which enabled her to view things objectively and from different perspectives.
She applies the knowledge she gained in college, as well as new insights she has acquired, to her writing at Bacaterus.
Syuri isn't selective when it comes to watching movies, as she is interested in a wide array of genres and is skilled at dissecting stories. However, if asked to choose, her preferences include romance, science fiction, dystopia, melodrama, fantasy, slice of life, and thriller.
Additionally, Syuri does not limit herself to films from specific countries; currently, she enjoys movies and series from Europe, America, Indonesia, and Thailand.
