The Rookie

The Rookie is a Disney sports movie inspired by a true story. It follows the journey of Jim Morris, who made his Major League Baseball debut at age 35.

Jim Morris (Dennis Quaid) is a former baseball player sidelined by a shoulder injury. After giving up on his baseball dreams, he becomes a science teacher and coach at a high school.

The school's baseball team, the Big Lake Owls, struggles due to lack of motivation and support. One day, it's revealed that Jim still has the talent to play baseball. He joins a few games, and his team starts winning.

As Jim's skills catch attention, he's offered a chance to play in the big leagues. Despite his initial doubts from past failures, Jim finds support from his family, including his proud father who regrets not supporting him earlier in his baseball career.
