The Last Voyage of the Demeter

On August 6, 1897, just off the coast of England, a ship called the Demeter was discovered in a state of ruin. The sails were shredded, and the hull was badly damaged. Strangely, not a single crew member was found on board.

In the midst of the debris, a significant find was made—The Captain's Log. This logbook, belonging to the captain of the Demeter, contained a message: the absence of the crew meant that they were all gone, and a mysterious 'he' had survived.

The story begins with Captain Elliot setting sail on the Demeter from Varna, Bulgaria, to London, England. The ship is laden with a strange cargo from deep within Romania. Before embarking, they meet a doctor named Clemens, who ends up joining the crew after saving the captain's nephew from a mishap.

During the trip, Doctor Clemens finds a woman named Anna, who is passed out in a room filled with dirt. After he helps her, Clemens sees a scary person coming out of one of the boxes they are carrying. This person has started to frighten everyone on the ship ever since.
