STORYLINE
In 1969, Mario Puzo's novel "The Godfather" inspired director Francis Ford Coppola to create a film adaptation. By 1972, fans could finally watch "The Godfather" movie. The film's portrayal of the criminal underworld was so successful that it led to two sequels, released in 1974 and 1990.
The story centers around Vito Corleone, also known as Don (Marlon Brando), who is the boss of the renowned Corleone mafia family in New York. He has several children, but his youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), initially shows no interest in his father's business or criminal activities.
Vito is known for being generous to those who respect him but harsh to those who cross him. At one point, Vito's powerful and dangerous rivals ask for his help in selling drugs. They thought they could use Vito's strong position in the criminal world.
However, Vito's refusal to get involved in the drug trade ignites a violent conflict. As the situation escalates, Michael is pulled into the family business to protect his loved ones and their legacy.
