The Crown

If you are curious about the life of the Royal Family, you don't need to read history books or visit Buckingham Palace. You can simply watch the drama series "The Crown," created by director Peter Morgan, which tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II's era.

The first season spans the period from 1947 to 1955. In 1947, after Princess Elizabeth (Claire Foy) becomes the Queen, and the wife of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Matt Smith); Elizabeth has to deal with many major political issues and her own personal problems.

Taking care of things in the interest of the welfare of the British people turns out to be very difficult, especially when it leads to conflicts she's never encountered before. She also has to deal with her younger sister, Princess Margaret (Vanessa Kirby), who is impulsive and jealous of the attention given to Elizabeth.
