Kate Bennett (Javicia Leslie) has left her job in pageants to follow her dream of becoming a private detective. She works hard at it and starts getting noticed. Now, Kate needs to prove she's the best detective around.

Just then, a local art gallery reports a famous painting stolen before their opening. Kate sees her chance and decides to look into it with her ex-boyfriend, Derek Oakley (Brad James), who's also a detective. Will they be able to find the painting?
