Road to Boston

The movie, based on true story, follows the journey of 24-year-old South Korean runner Suh Yun Bok. He is determined to compete in the 51st Boston Marathon to honor his country. The story is set in 1947, a time when South Korea was still under Japanese rule, just two years before gaining independence.

Yun Bok's coach, Son Kee Chung, is a former track athlete who won a gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. However, because of Japanese colonization, Kee Chung had to compete under the Japanese flag.

This experience fuels Kee Chung and his co-coach, Nam Seung Ryong, with a strong desire. They want Yun Bok to win the Boston Marathon and proudly raise the South Korean flag for the world to see.

The journey of these three main characters is full of challenges. They face administrative hurdles, bureaucratic issues, and tough competition from strong rivals. Will Suh Yun Bok, Son Kee Chung, and Nam Seung Ryong achieve their goal of victory?
