One Day

David Nicholls' novel "One Day," released in 2009, quickly grabbed the attention of director Lone Scherfig, who turned it into a movie. Its success led Nicole Taylor to adapt it into a drama.

The story begins in 1988, with Dexter Mayhew (Leo Woodall) and Emma Morley (Amika Mod) meeting as college friends. They're at a turning point, ready to start their lives after graduation. Before they go their separate ways, they spend a day together.

This day together makes them grow closer, and they find it hard to say goodbye. But they have their own futures to chase. So, they make a tradition: every year, on the same date, they celebrate their friendship. Through this, they learn about love and what life really means.
