Maybe I Do

Maybe I Do is a 2023 American romantic comedy based on a play by Michael Jacobs, who also directed the movie. It's about two sets of parents with complicated pasts who try to give marriage advice to their children.

Michelle (Emma Roberts) and Allen (Luke Bracey) have been together for a while and decide to get married. When they introduce their families to each other, they're shocked to find out their parents already know each other.

Years ago, Michelle's parents, Howard (Richard Gere) and Grace (Diane Keaton), and Allen's parents, Sam (William H. Macy) and Monica (Susan Sarandon), had tangled relationships. Now, with everyone feeling awkward about their past connections, they must figure out how to act properly and give good advice to their kids about marriage.
