Killers of the Flower Moon

This captivating film has garnered global interest, and for good reason. It's written by Eric Roth, the screenwriter behind the iconic "Forrest Gump." It tells the story of the Osage tribe, a Native American group from Oklahoma. In the 1920s, the Osage became immensely wealthy due to oil found beneath their land.

However, this wealth attracts the greed of immoral white men, notably William King Hale (Robert De Niro). Hale, along with his jobless nephew Ernest Burkhart, schemes to seize the Osage land and their oil royalties.

Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) devises a plan to infiltrate the Osage tribe by marrying one of their own. He sets his sights on Mollie Kyle, a beautiful native woman.

Following their marriage, Ernest and his uncle King Hale embark on a series of sinister plots, including the murder of Mollie's family, to gain control over her inheritance. This film, which made its debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, hit Indonesian theaters in October 2023.
