Kejar Mimpi, Gaspol!

Fifi (Asri Welas), is a dedicated single mother working tirelessly to provide for her daughter, Diana (Michelle Ziudith). They live in the picturesque Mount Bromo tourist area, engaging in various roles within the tourism industry. Fifi and Diana are showcasing their versatility to serve as jeep drivers and guides, while also managing a homestay, a legacy left by Fifi's late husband.

Their lives suddenly change when Darma (Tora Sudiro) checks into their homestay. He was once a celebrated actor. He finds himself deeply impressed by Fifi's resilience and determination. During his stay, he stumbles upon Fifi's diary, uncovering a heartfelt narrative that reveals her hidden talent as a writer.

Fifi, however, reacts with outrage when discovering Darma has read her personal diary. Despite Darma's earnest attempts to explain his vision of adapting her story into a film, Fifi initially resists and forcefully dismisses him. After some contemplation and encouraged by Diana, who recognizes her mother's potential, Fifi begins to reconsider.

The film that is directed by Hasto Broto, showcases the writing prowess of Arie Kriting and Abdur Arsyad, both renowned for their work in stand-up comedy. Notably, this movie marks a significant milestone for Asri Welas, as it is her debut in a leading role after a career primarily in supporting roles.
