Don’t Look Up

Directed by Adam McKay, the movie is an apocalyptic political satire. McKay casts Hollywood stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as the lead roles. Running at 138 minutes, the movie tells the story of two astronomers who warn of a meteor disaster that is not taken seriously by many.

Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomer who discovers a large comet heading towards Earth while doing research. She immediately warns the government, but they don't take her seriously.

Meanwhile, others want to exploit the comet's value and ignore its dangers. Kate, with the help of allies like Dr. Randall (Leonardo DiCaprio), tries her best to warn the public.

Unfortunately, by the time the comet become a real threat, it is too late to do anything about it. Now, they regret not listening to the warnings of the two astronomers.
