STORYLINE

Under the direction of Wolfgang Petersen, many movies were commercially successful and engraved in the memory of the audience. One such movie was "Das Boot", known as "The Boat" in English, which was adapted from Lothar-Günther Buchheim's novel.

The story is about life on board a German U-boat (submarine) U-96 during World War II. The audience is invited to experience life on a submarine, where the crew must face various challenges, from different ideologies, encounters with enemy forces, to dangerous storms.

However, everyone is bonded together as a family. Many missions to sink enemy ships are successful thanks to the crew's tireless effort. One of them is U-96's submarine correspondent, Lieutenant Werner (Herbert Grönemeyer).

Unfortunately, at the end of the story, U-96 has to stop serving after an attack from the allies and finally sinks.
