Arsenal Military Academy

Xie Xiang (Bai Lu) enters the Arsenal Military Academy in Shunyuan with the desire to follow in his late brother's footsteps and defend his country. Disguised as a man, she only tells Tan Xiaojun (Zhang Xin) about her true identity.

At the academy, Xie Xiang shares living quarters with Gu Yan Zhen (Xu Kai), an arrogant young man who acts as he pleases due to his father's influence. Along with Yan Zhen, she befriends other cadets, and one of her best friends is Shen Jun Shan (Toby Lee).

They go through military training during the Japanese occupation of their country, Xie Xiang faces the challenge of maintaining her disguise in the midst of internal and external conflicts. Complications arise when Gu Yan Zhen and Shen Jun Shan develop feelings for her.

Bai Lu and Xu Kai's performances in the drama received praise, earning them awards such as Best Actor and Best Actress at the 6th The Actors of China Award and Best Actor and Most Promising Actress at StarHub Night of Stars 2019.
