A Hijacking

Sea piracy often inspires movies, like "A Hijacking" directed and written by Tobias Lindholm. This film is based on a real event involving the Maersk Alabama cargo ship which was hijacked in 2009 and lasted four days.

In the movie, the Danish cargo ship MV Rozen is traveling in the Indian Ocean towards its final destination. Along the way, Somali pirates hijack the ship and turn a peaceful journey into a tense and dangerous situation.

The main characters include the ship's cook, Mikkel Hartmann (Pilou Asbæk), and the ship's engineer, Jan (Roland Møller). The company's CEO, Peter Ludvigsen (Søren Malling), springs into action to negotiate with the pirates and deal with both personal and professional challenges.

The film leaves us wondering whether the negotiations will succeed in safely freeing the hostages or lead to more danger.
